Eleanor

This is Eleanor, Ruth's youngest daughter, born in 1929, so she is not mentioned in the diaries, but as of September 2006, she is commenting on some of the diary entries with her own memories. This picture was taken in the early 1930's.

Early Smith Family

Gilbert Smith is the little boy in the front. His mother, Caroline Lucinda Thompson Smith, is on the left, his father, James William Albert Smith is on the right, and his two sisters, Bess and Nell are in the center. I don't know which is Bess and which is Nell. The picture is probably from the early 1890's.
